CINCO DE MAYO

Yesterday was Cinco De Mayo. If you are wondering what this holiday is, I will explain. Contraty to popular belief it is not the Mexican Independence day which is Sep 16th.

Cinco De Mayo stems from a famous battle by the Mexican army against the French on May 5th 1862. The victory gave the mexicans spirit and thus they look back and celebrate.

With the daily trials and tribulations of life, it is key you stay positive and maintain composure. Life will throw you alot of obstacles during the course of your life. The key is to tell yourself you will look back 10 years from now and not even remember what you went through. So to all the negativity out there, shut it down with a smile. :)

MOTHERS DAY COMING UP

For all the mothers out there, this post is dedicated to you. It is not easy carrying a baby as your body is going through alot of changes beyond your control. Or Even raising a child in this world today. So to the mothers out there, I tip my hat to you.

So what do you give your mother for mothers day? Obviously nothing can make up for all the hard work they went through.

Maybe a gift card to a restaurant she loves or to Red door Spa or even chocolates from Godiva.

What is May day?

According to Wikipedia,

May Day occurs on May 1 and refers to several public holidays.[1] In many countries, May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labour Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organised by communists, anarchists, socialists, unionists, and other activist groups. May Day is also a traditional holiday in many cultures.

Question is, why are we working on May day in the US while the rest of the world has off?

A husband read an article to his wife , about how many words women use a day is 30,000.But in the case of a man it is 15,000.The wife replied "the reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men".The husband then turned to his wife and asked , "What?"

There are so many as seen on TV cooking gadgets out there and one must see what the public opinion on which one to buy.

I have been reading up on the Xpress ready set go cooker and have seen mainly positive reviews on it. Looking to make a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond for one. Will keep you guys updated on the Xpress cooker once I buy it but more importantly cook with it.

Time to evaluate your new years resolution. It is time to see if you have been up to par with your goals or not.

Chances are we have already forgotten about any resolution you made in a hurry before the ball dropped on Dec 31st.

Its the end of April and we need to visit our goals and assume May 1st is going to be our Jan 1st.

Whether you want to lose weight, find a new job or move out of your old apartment, its time to get going and get rolling.
