Grocery Shopping!

When you are making a trip to the grocery store, I am sure the last thing on your mind is how grocery chains arrange their shelves. It is key to step back and realize that stores are open to make a profit. Sure, these stores care about their customers but their bottom line is to make the $. Be careful not to buy on the impulse, deals for candy, toys and other products are usually by the checkout lane. Basically, these stores want you to buy their products before you leave. Once in your hand, the checkout lane is right infront of you. It makes it an easy sell.

If you are trying to stay with in and budget, impulse buying is a big no no.

Another thing to be watchful of is, products at eye level on shelves are usually more costly than products at the bottom or the corner of the shelf. One must browse the entire shelf and make an informed buy.

On your next trip to the grocery store, keep your eyes open; see how these chains place their products and advertise prices/deals. Remember knowledge is key!
